Legislation is like every living being. It does not arise from nothing, nor does it reach its perfection in a single mutation. Rather, it arises from something that existed prior to its existence, and it begins to move forward gradually through the levels of life and existence, until it reaches the maximum maturity and perfection that is destined for it. Of course, the Arabs had some rules, traditions, and customs that governed their society. This is the case with every society, regardless of its level of civilization and intellectual and practical sophistication. These rules governed their personal matters, financial transactions, and other affairs, issues, and problems of life. This book deals with Islamic legislation, its origins and impact, the principles upon which it is based, its general foundations, and its characteristics. Then we show - indisputably - that it is legislation independent of other legislation that was known in the ancient world. By this we mean: Roman law. In addition, we show that Islamic legislation had an undeniable advantage over Western laws, especially French law. Then it ends with a chapter on: The future of Islamic legislation, and its conclusion.
