The author grew up a"Baby Boomer" born and raised in the mid-south (Arkansas/Texas) into a family rife with the strife and sacrifices of WWII and the years that followed. Life, as she tells it in this book,"Is What It Is!" Like so many other people, jobs and money were scarce, and times were tough. Being born a "have not" she learned to make the most of life's situations. She has a captivating way, metaphorically speaking, of turning lemons into lemonade. Even the most grim and heart-breaking events in her life are seen as having purpose - a lesson to be learned.
