Autorenporträt
Latisha Smith Howze is a native Chicagoan who was born and raised on the south side of the city, where holding on to dreams is a mechanism for survival. She has been married for fifteen years and has three children, who have been a driving force in the manifestation of her dreams. While her formal training and career focuses on advocating for vulnerable children and families, part of her heart has always been in writing. Writing is a passion that lifts her spirit and is an expression of life for her. In her first published book, Latisha tells a very relatable story of a teenage girl who is quickly thrust into the spoils of adulthood.
