One evening when Izzy is out for a fly, he happens upon a synagogue, swoops through an open window, and finds a scroll penned by Isaiah. When they make fun of him, Izzy flies far away to a cave where he decides to perch on a high ledge and rest for the night. But little does he know that he is about to witness the birth of Jesus and rescue his Savior from a dangerous predator.

Father Al Masluk, also known as Father Owl, has been a priest in the Philadelphia archdiocese for over forty years. He is passionate about ministering to families and children, and was inspired by his great nephews and nieces to take up the ancient art of storytelling as a new form of ministry. Father Masluk is an avid collector of owls. Izzy the Christmas Owl is his first book.
