Autorenporträt
Brilliant Disguise is Richard Neer's eighth novel featuring Riley King.

His work of non-fiction, FM, the Rise and Fall of Rock Radio, (Villard 2001), is the true story of how corporate interests destroyed a medium that millions grew up with.

Neer has worked in important roles both on and off the air at several of the most prestigious and groundbreaking New York radio stations in history --- the progressive rocker WNEW-FM for almost thirty years, and the nation's first full time sports talker, WFAN, since 1988. He was instrumental in the birth of WLIR, the first suburban progressive station, in 1970.

Something of the Night was the initial offering in the Riley King series followed by The Master Builders, (May 2016). Indian Summer was published in the fall of that year. The Punch List, was followed by An American Storm and Wrecking Ball. In addition there are three holiday short stories, Spirits in the Night, King's Christmas and Jackson's Book.

He shares a vacation home with his wife Vicky and their Golden Retriever Duncan on Hilton Head Island.
