Michael Broad used to work in animation, but is now a writer and illustrator. The first four Jake Cake books, also published by Puffin, are: The Werewolf Teacher, The Robot Dinner Lady, The School Dragon and The Visiting Vampire. He also has two picture books on the Puffin list - Broken Bird and The Little Star Who Wished. He lives in London.
