In an effort to change Jaxon's daily restricted diet, his dear Grandmom and his dad conspire to expand his food knowledge beyond white rice and/or chicken and fries to include vegetables. So, Grandmom plants a vegetable garden and during a one-week trip to visit with her in South Carolina, she introduced him to freshly grown plants and encouraged him to taste them. Jaxon enjoyed playing in the garden until he discovered something better. In the back of the garden, was a tool shed. Grandmom cautioned him not to enter the shed, because it contained sharp objects that posed a threat to his safety. However; being the curious little boy that he was, he ventured inside. There he found an otherworldly creature on a personal mission. Jaxon later discovers that this creature was not from Jaxon's dimension and he had secrets he withheld from Jaxon. Once Jaxon uncovered everything, he agreed to help his newly found friend accomplish his mission. However, Jaxon could not share his discovery with anyone not even his Grandmom. So, he was left on his own to fi gure out what to do and how to solve problems way beyond his experience. The book will challenge the imagination of young minds. Like many classical literary adventures of the past, it will take them into a new world and open their minds to explore different places. It is also a heartwarming story about friendship and caring. It reveals how kindness and courtesy can go a long way toward achieving success.
