The book first compares Jesus Christ to fictional superheroes like Spiderman and Batman. The easy-to-read text and friendly, colorful illustrations then invites kids to be Jr. Superheroes (disciples) for the kingdom of God by highlighting examples of good Christian character, how to use spiritual weapons, and how prayer can activate the Holy Spirit's power.

READER REVIEW: I wish this book had been written before my kids had become teens! It would have been a nightly ritual around my house and I'm sure one of my son's favorite reads. I loved everything from the illustrations of Jesus being portrayed in the context of today's modern culture to comparing God's gifts/spirit with each superhero's abilities. This is a great book, interactive book for kids and the message symbolizes how God brings his Super into our Natural! Great work! This will for sure become a classic Kereth Houpt

ABOUT THE AUTHORS: Pastor Rick and Paloma Gordon live in Mexico. This is their first book. It was written for their son and first published in hard copy. The book is now translated into different languages and used in different churches, youth organizations, and ministry programs to help kids facilitate a relationship with Jesus Christ.

Autorenporträt

Rick and Paloma Gordon live in Los Cabos in Baja Sur, México. They've been married for 16 years and have a beautiful son Luke. Rick is from the United States. After graduating college and spending 12 years starting technology companies that had been either acquired, merged or failed, Rick moved to Los Cabos in 2002 fulfilling a dream to live in a small beach town. After years of following the Lord and serving in his community, Rick followed a calling on his life and enrolled in seminary and was thereafter ordained as a pastor. Today Rick is a co-pastor of "Puerta del Cielo" church. He surfs daily and enjoys writing and teaching.

Paloma is from México. She studied tourism in Mazatlán. She worked for the Los Cabos Hotel Association for the last 17 years. In 2015 she was promoted to Executive President, the first woman to hold that position. She committed her attention to promoting the destination around the world and working on energy, water and security reforms. In 2019, Paloma retired and joined Rick in ministry. She loves working with kids, teaching, community projects, cooking, skiing and snorkeling.
