The iconic story of the birth of Jesus, which we now celebrate at Christmas, can always bear retelling. In this story, we are reminded of the difficult and humble circumstances in which Jesus was born, and the people who travelled long distances to welcome the little baby into the world. We are prompted to remember that, while we give gifts at Christmas, as the wise men gave gifts to Jesus, this time should not be only about the presents, but is an occasion that should be used to honour the coming of our Saviour and the life of love and peace that He lived.

Autorenporträt
My name is Kalenga Augustine Mulenga aka K.A. Mulenga. My passion is writing. I started writing when I was 10 years old and my passion was reignited by my 11-year-old son. Writing runs in my blood as my late father was a journalist and the first black editor of the Zambia Daily Mail and my late brother was a poet. To date, I have published 21 children's books. They are available on various channels and also on my website. I love writing children's books with a positive message and also making them laugh and be entertained. I am a prolific writer.

I have completed my memoir ( Makeni Homeboys) and have a publisher agreement for my middle-grade novel which is due to be released later this year. I have written 3 short stories and published occasional blogs.

My short story, Striving To Be Number One won a Creative Writing Contest in April 2021.

Three of my books, Donk and the Stubborn Donkeys, Chuck the Cheetah, and Will and His Best Friend Whale have been # 1 Bestsellers in different categories.
