Filmmaker John Landis has written and/or directed some of the most popular movies of all time including National Lampoon's Animal House (1978), The Blues Brothers (1980), Trading Places (1983), Spies Like Us (1985), Three Amigos! (1987), Coming to America (1988), and Innocent Blood (1992) among many others. An authority on the horror genre, he wrote and directed the classic An American Werewolf in London (1981) and the groundbreaking Michael Jackson's Thriller (1983). He also wrote the best selling book Monsters in the Movies (DK, 2011).
