A federal prison camp is much, much different than a federal prison. There are no prison guards, bob wire fences, cell blocks or locked doors in a prison camp. It's pretty much open. A prisoner could walk away any time if they wanted. A hundred of us men lived in a barracks like setting, and could go outside and roam around the grounds almost any time of the day or night. We had a regular sized baseball field and foot ball field in our back yard along with six basketball courts, a handball court, botchy, and a horse shoe pit. In a lot of ways the prison camp was a big joke since there was no security. However no one would skip out because they knew what would happen if they did. They'd get caught and would then get sent to the real place.
