Autorenporträt

Author Peggy Thomas was raised in western New York and drew on her memories of hearing colorful tall tales from the 1800s while writing this story. Mrs. Thomas received a master's degree in anthropology from the State University of New York and is a member of the Society of Children's Book writers and Illustrators. Cat Bowman Smith's critically acclaimed artwork adorns more than forty books, including Feliciana Feydra LeRoux. Ms. Smith lives in Pittsford, New York, and is a former newspaper illustrator and art teacher.
