Many of us believed the lies that strength is attained by ignoring your own emotional health, bottling up or ignoring your feelings, or giving your all as it relates to supporting others, yet not sharing any of yourself.
Well, as I outlined in this book, those actions lead to a depleted, empty, lonely and unfulfilled existence that is characterized by frustration and resentment. This is definitely no way to live, especially if you are like me and believe we should always be living our best. However, despite the bleak picture that may have been painted thus far, all is not lost for any of us.
What do you do when life does not work out the way you planned? STOP RIGHT THERE! This is where many of us have gotten it wrong when we face that road called disappointment. We forgot to consult our author and creator about his plan for us while we were making our own. Actually, the plan was never ours to begin with. The Bible says in Proverbs 3: 5-6 "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight."
