Dr. Jim Thorne is a multifaceted talent-- a space scientist, singer/songwriter, and TV show host. He brings a wealth of expertise to his creative endeavors, drawing from his background as a space scientist and his passion for inspiring young minds. Jim's TV series, "Space Quest with Dr. Jim," earned a prestigious Telly Award and has been broadcast on public-access stations across the United States, as well as being available on YouTube. "Journey to Antares" is a young-adult science fiction novel born from the songs, stories, and characters featured in his TV series. Jim's fascination with space exploration was ignited by the Apollo moon landings, and he now seeks to share his early excitement with aspiring young scientists. Additionally, during his graduate studies, he made a significant contribution to the field of classical orbit determination with his mathematical solution known as "Thorne's Solution of the Lambert Problem."
