The original text of "Journey to the West" is one of China's Four Great Classical Novels, authored by Wu Cheng'en during the Ming Dynasty. The novel primarily tells the legendary story of the Tang monk and his three disciples-Tang Seng, Sun Wukong, Zhu Bajie, and Sha Seng-as they journey to the West to obtain Buddhist scriptures. Through their fantastical adventures, the story showcases the various demons and monsters they encounter, as well as the deep bond and growth among the disciples. Sun Wukong, with his intelligence and powerful magic, stands out as a highlight of the book, while Zhu Bajie wins readers' affection with his humorous and comical character. "Journey to the West" is not only an entertaining novel but also contains profound philosophy and reflections on life. "Journey to the West Can Be Read This Way (Full-Color Comic Edition)"-this version vividly recounts the entire process of the "Eighty-One Challenges" from the perspective of various demons. With its unique viewpoint and witty language, it presents a clear narrative. As a different take on "Journey to the West," this book retains the story's framework while providing more vivid descriptions of key characters, the "monsters," in each chapter, helping to prevent children from experiencing aesthetic fatigue or boredom while reading the original tale.
