Produktbeschreibung
The Gospels' depiction of Judas Iscariot, as the evil betrayer of Jesus, was generalized over the centuries to Jews as a whole and became the foundation of antisemitism, eventually leading up to the Holocaust. In the quest for the historical Jesus, supernatural, theological, and politically motivated themes are questioned. The quest for the historical Juda barely started, and in his case, the Gospels' narrative is usually accepted offhand. In scholarly publications, in most cases, significant details are overlooked, tendentious editing is not acknowledged, the social psychology of small groups is disregarded and Judas' presumed motivation to betray is not questioned. Also, the relations between Judas and Jesus, and Judas and Simon-Peter are not examined. This eBook goes beyond exoneration and empathy, presenting ten reasons why Judas Iscariot did not betray Jesus, was loyal, was scapegoated, and possibly murdered.
