Dallas Jackson had a rough time growing up. Everything about his environment seemed to have one goal-to keep him down, but God had other plans for him.

Dallas' early childhood and teenage years were far from being rosy.

Unlike other well-adjusted kids from balanced homes, Dallas was saved from certain death by extreme neglect from parents who were unfortunately addicted to drugs. Handed off to a foster home where kids meant nothing to the caretakers other than extensive fat checks from the government, love was at the bottom of the caretakers' priority list.

Dallas was a unique African American child and had Asperger's syndrome, which led him down a different life path. He had wildly different interests from kids his age, making him become the target of ridicule and snide remarks from his peers and caretakers in the foster home and would struggle with a lack of acceptance from his peers and a deep desire to be loved by someone. Anyone.

He seemed fated to spend all his juvenile years in the foster home, as he didn't seem to have any of the superficial features potential parents wanted in their adopted kids. He had resigned himself to a life filled with ridicule and scorn and had given up on things ever getting better.

But it was not until God sent Sarah and Hunter Miller his way.

Given a new lease on life, Dallas was grateful to God for sending him such wonderful foster parents and siblings, but his challenges were far from over. Now living in a predominantly white neighborhood with the Millers, he would face racism, bullying, and persecution like never before.

But unlike before, he now had the support of his newfound family and God's guidance. Will Dallas learn to trust God's plan for him and overcome his challenges?
