Susie is a former teacher from Washington State. She taught 6th-12th grades in the Mukilteo School District. "The best thing about teaching was working with so many talented young people. They have so much energy, and they keep you young," Susie admits, "but they have different personalities and strengths to keep it challenging. I have always loved a good challenge." She enjoys watercolor and acrylic painting, writing, reading, hiking, snorkeling, and taking photographs wherever she goes. "I do miss being with my students, but I don't miss grading their papers." Susie has three adult sons and lives with her husband and German shepherd dog named Isabela in Baja California Sur.
