English author Rudyard Kipling first published The Jungle Book in 1894. This version comes from a 1910 edition, featuring illustrations by Rudyard's father, John Lockwood Kipling.

Rudyard Kipling was one of the most popular writers in England, in both prose and verse, in the 19th and 20th centuries. A noble prize winner, he is most famous for his adventure tales and poems.
