Autorenporträt
My husband and I lived in Indonesia when we were first married. Our students were a source of great adventures in this third world country. The stories of Kadek reflect some of those stories told to me, and some I witnessed. I continued to teach elementary school after our return to the states which gave me knowledge of how children love to hear stories read to them. I noticed very few books written about children from third world countries and decided to let our kids know what life was like for other kids in these countries, and the stories of Kadek were born.
