Kaleidoscope is the sound of our time. Gori, in his early thirties, lives in Berlin and works in a start-up. Unhappy and discontented, he stumbles through his life after a painful break-up. At the same time, he fights doggedly for a professional promotion. When he is denied it, his supposedly clear order collapses. But instead of dealing with the real reasons for his break-up and rejection, he loses himself in partying, drug excesses and anonymous sex encounters. Everything changes when he meets the fascinating artist Ari in a techno club in Berlin. Her mysterious aura, her creativity and her courage inspire him and give him a new sense of direction. Spontaneously - and a little in love - he drops everything and follows her to the Burning Man Festival in Nevada. The impressive stay in the desert - the mystical works of art, the people who live freely in this community, the intense music - becomes an awakening experience for him. It is also where Gori is given the name Kaleidoscope, which enables him to gradually break out of his previous lifestyle and become aware of his deep self-doubts. But what will become of him and Ari? Is he already up to her challenging character? And what about Luise, with whom he shares many experiences during the week and who seems to have a crush on him? How sustainable the changes in his lifestyle really are will only become clear after the week in the creative utopia.
