Obi Shaaim Maa (Michael West) is an author and educator. He received his Master of Science in Education (Reading and Literacy) from Bank Street College of Education in 1995 and a B.A. from New York University in 1981. He has been an educator since 1988. He is the author of How to Increase Your Child's Intelligence Through the Use of Vitamins and Minerals and the upcoming Kheru Nefer: Beautiful Night (Angels of Egypt).

Obi Shaaim Maa has been deeply involved in Ancient Egyptian culture since 1985.
