"King Edip" (or "Edip the tyrant") is one of the seven tragedies of the ancient Greek poet and playwright Sophocles. In this story, it is told about the tragic fate of the king of Thebes, Edip, the son of Lai and Jocasta, who, in the course of his life, lost his gloomy prophecy, having hated his father and making friends with his mother, and ending his days as a blind zhenk and vignan. The leading figures of the creation are the daughters of Edip Antigone and Esmena, the ruler of Thebes Creon, the yogi squad of Eurydik, the son of Creon and Evridiki Haemon (Antigoni's naming). The military foreigners stepped forward like the Volodar of Thebes Creon, having punished Eteocles with honors.
