Twelve years later, Poppy's time as a human is nearly up. She can't stop the final transformation, so she instead decides to spend her last days making amends with Arthur. When she tracks him down, he's nothing like she remembers: Instead of becoming an actor, he's become a porn star living in a seaside house that his closeted lover has bought for him. For his part, Arthur doesn't know how to take his sister - whom he'd thought dead - after so many years.
