The body is currently being redefined and explored in the architecture of its forms and in the depth of its structures and processes. Autorenporträt

Karl-Heinrich Bette (Prof. Dr.), geb. 1952, war von 1992 bis 2002 Professor für Sportwissenschaft an der Universität Heidelberg. Er folgte anschließend einem Ruf auf den Lehrstuhl für Sportsoziologie an der TU Darmstadt, den er bis 2021 innehatte. Seine Forschungs- und Publikationsschwerpunkte liegen in der Soziologie des Körpers, der Sportsoziologie sowie der neueren soziologischen Systemtheorie.
