I am confident that if you are reading this is because the Holy Spirit has led you here, there are no coincidences with God. The Lord knows what we each need to hear, and exactly when we need to hear it. Therefore, this book offers a deep discussion on an essential part of one's spiritual life in Christ termed "koinonia." Koinonia is as important to those who choose to follow Jesus in their day-to-day lives, as oxygen is to all living creatures. To this purpose, this book both defines koinonia and examines its vital role in the Body of Christ, the Church. The term koinonia, commonly used to describe fellowship, is in truth so much more than this. This book reveals how koinonia more accurately defines the supernatural experience shared exclusively among those who truly have a personal relationship with Christ. Many make this claim by calling themselves Christians, yet instead of following Jesus, they choose to follow their doctrines, denominations, pastors, teachers etc. and live out religious based lives all in the name of Christ. This is why it is essential to understand koinonia from a scripturally based spiritual understanding as opposed to the traditional view held by churchgoers over the years. Thus, this book illustrates how koinonia is vital for spiritual growth and how it supernaturally unifies ones bond with Christ, and with others who are in His Body, the living Church. Throughout Jesus' earthly ministry, He regularly shared koinonia with His disciples through His personal relationship with them. Furthermore, the early Church thrived because of koinonia as it offered the pure Spirit-led life needed to continue to follow Jesus after His ascension into heaven. Hence, this book places a great focus on the importance of koinonia in the life of those who follow Jesus, just as in the early Church, to grow spiritually and truly fulfil the will of the Father in heaven. Those who are in Christ must yield to the leading of the Holy Spirit to experience pure koinonia and the unity of purpose with others who are in Christ. On a final note, some of you will find that while reading this book it will become apparent to you that, although you have been a faithful churchgoer, you may not have the personal relationship with Christ needed to secure eternal life and a place in heaven. Therefore, the final chapter of this book specifically discusses what it means to be spiritually reborn (born again) and why this supernatural transformation is essential to gain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ. Spiritual koinonia shared with and among those who are truly in the Body of Christ (the true Church) is essential to grow and live in Christ; I pray this includes you!
