By doing business in form of projects, the entrepreneurs are trying to face the rising competitive pressure, the increasing environment dynamic and the development of customer needs towards tailored solutions, in a prepared and confident way. Thereby the success of a project is significantly codetermined by an effective and efficient controlling. In this context, the diploma thesis will develop and implement a concept for operative controlling of projects in a medium-sized company by considering its size alongside the personal, financial and other restrictions. The analysis ranges over projects within the Research and Development area. Previously the management and the control of projects were technical oriented. The controlling of the economic aspects was neglected. The diploma thesis develops models for standard interpretation of project terms within the company, for operational planning and control of projects as well as for internal and external reporting. The regulations about responsibilities for new tasks are also part of the diploma thesis. ------------------------------- Projekte gewinnen in der Wirtschaftswelt zunehmend an Bedeutung. Mit Hilfe von Projekten versuchen Unternehmen dem ansteigenden Wettbewerbsdruck, der zunehmenden Dynamik der Umwelt und der Entwicklung der Kundenwünsche von Standard- zu Individuallösungen vorbereitet und kompetent zu begegnen. Der Projekterfolg wird dabei nicht geringfügig durch das wirksame Projektcontrolling mitbestimmt. In diesem Kontext wird ein Konzept zum operativen Projektcontrolling in einem mittelständischen Unternehmen unter der Berücksichtigung der Unternehmensgröße und personeller, finanzieller oder sonstiger Restriktionen entwickelt und partiell umgesetzt. Die durchgeführte Analyse erstreckt sich im Kern auf die Projekte im Bereich Forschung- und Entwicklung. Im Status Quo sind das Management und die Kontrolle dieser Projekte stark technisch geprägt. Das Controlling der kaufmännischen Seite der Projekte kommt hierbei zu kurz. In diesem Zusammenhang werden im Rahmen der Diplomarbeit ein einheitliches Begriffsverständnis sowie Modelle zur operativen Projektplanung, zur operativen Projektkontrolle und zum internen und externen Reporting ausgearbeitet. Die Regelungen über die Verantwortlichkeiten für die neu entstehenden Aufgaben sind ebenfalls Bestandteil dieser Arbeit.
