Der Autor Professor Dr. Islam Qerimi LLM ist Universitätsprofessor und Dekan an der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität "Isa Boletini" in Mitrovica (Republik Kosova). Seine juristische Ausbildung erhielt er an der Universität Prishtina, vervollständigt durch ein Magisterstudium an der Ruhr-Universität Bochum. Die Promotion erfolgte an der Rechtswissenschaftlichen Fakultät der Universität Wien. Hierüber hinaus erfolgte eine Ausbildung zum Mediator in Dortmund und zum systemischen Coach in Köln. Er veröffentliche eine große Anzahl an Fachbeiträgen und Monografien in europäischen, vornehmlich jedoch auch in deutschsprachigen juristischen Zeitschriften. Seit 2020 Mitglied der Albanisch-amerikanischen Akademie der Wissenschaften und Künste (THE ALBANIAN AMERICAN ACADEMY OF SCIENCE AND ARTS - NEW YORK) sowie Mitglied der Kriminologischen Gesellschaft (KrimG) e.V.. Die Kriminologische Gesellschaft (KrimG) e.V. ist eine wissenschaftliche Vereinigung deutscher, österreichischer und schweizerischer Kriminologinnen und Kriminologen.
