Halina Ogonowska-Coates is an oral historian, writer and film-maker of Polish descent. In Krystyna's Story she has recorded the experiences of many Poles who came to New Zealand after the Second World War. She has presented their story in a television film, Exiles - The Story of a Polish Journey.
