These tales are drawn from the author's commercial fishing adventures on the Great Lakes with his family. Their Dad and Mom taught them the value of good, hard work, and expected everyone to work on the fish tugs. Their lives were shaped by moving around to 'follow the fish' from Lake Michigan to Lake Huron and Lake Superior.

Autorenporträt
Peter LaBlance was born in October 1948 in Charlevoix, Michigan. He entered this world as a very sick baby, receiving the Catholic last rites twice before going home. His family has a long history in the commercial fishing business on the Great Lakes, and he is a proud member of the Mackinaw Band of Chippewa Indians. He hopes he was able to put readers on the fish tug with him.
