Autorenporträt
After graduating in Mechanical Engineering in India, Prabir arrived in the United States of America in the mid-seventies with a scholastic grant from the Science Foundation for graduate studies. After a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, he joined a company to work for Nuclear Power Generating Plant design and implementation.

His profession took him from New York to Washington State, Texas, and Tennessee. Prabir is an avid traveler of India. His job and his travels allowed him to see the length and breadth of two beautiful countries, get to know their people, and expand the horizons of his imagination.

At the turn of the century, he began writing short stories in English and poems and songs in his mother tongue, Odia. Some of his short stories were published in magazines.

He continues to write songs in Indian languages. Two commercial CDs were released and were hits in India. Now, they are sold by Amazon Music and Apple iTunes. Some pieces were incorporated into TV serials. One historical epic poem of 400 stanzas and other poems are currently under negotiation to be published in India.
