Lanang a young brave male orangutan fights back against the orangutan kidnappers! Inspired by the 1960s Japanese crime fighter television series Phantom Agents - Lanang organises a small band of 'orangutan guerillas' to defeat Mara the big time kidnapper of baby orangutans.

LANANG is a heroic 'against-all-the-impossible-odds' fable of a commando style rescue mission to save hundreds of orangutan orphans caged in Mara Ranch - the well fortified 'dark heart' of Mara's poaching empire.

"Okay." whispered Lanang. "You all know what you have to do. We have spent many weeks training hard for something like this and no matter what happens I promise all of you that this evening will go down in our history as a night of honour. We are doing what we have to do. All of you are brave. I am proud to be your leader."

Please note that after doing the relevant web search if one goes to the following webpage 'LANANG the orangutan novel' on the website 'Nicholas Nicola Etchings' access can be gained to a book sample PDF file that will provide approximately a 25% portion of the e-book from the beginning.( See towards the bottom of the sidebar on the website for the specific webpage heading to click on. Hopefully, this will be helpful in making a decision to purchase the e-book). All the best.

Autorenporträt
Nicholas Nicola was born in February, 1959 in Melbourne, Australia but since his early childhood has mainly lived in Sydney (where his Cypriot parents had a milk bar). From his mid-20s, 30s & early 40s he travelled extensively overseas; one positive legacy from this somewhat wayward time is to have developed an ongoing interest in humanitarian issues which can have an underlying influence on his creative work. His 'dayjob' has mainly been casual (substitute) teaching mostly looking for work in the area of E.S.L (English as a Second Language) and Visual Art. His main major from his now far away university days was in Fine Arts with a secondary interest in Sociology, Psychology, History, Politics and Philosophy,. Although engaged in printmaking Nicholas also has a strong interest in writing e.g. fiction, poetry, art theory and some travel memoir all of which he is now in the slow process of preparing much of this private writing for public view. His 'home made' website has further information about his creative practice. All the best and thank you. (website details. 'nicholas nicola etchings' http://nicholasnicolaetchings.synthasite.com).
