Landslides: Monitoring, Susceptibility and Management opens with a presentation of the application of geographic information system -based statistical modeling in the delineation of landslide susceptible zones for Rani Khola River basin of Sikkim Himalayas, India, by combining various landslide conditioning factors, namely: geological, topographical and hydrological parameters. Inaccessible areas prone to landsliding are delineated, as increasing awareness of the human, economic, and environment effects of these natural disasters is necessary to promote the safety of human life. The authors develop a broad-based landslide susceptibility assessment considering causal factors and different triggering conditions for hillslopes bordering the Monterrey Metropolitan Area. This approach has been computed on a cell-by-cell basis in a geographic information system. The concluding study attempts to present a distribution map of major rainfall-induced landslides in March to April 2019 in Iran, as well as review the local geological characteristics of major case studies.
