Autorenporträt
Benjamin Chu is research distinguished professor emeritus at Stony Brook University (SBU), USA. He has been an international consultant at several organizations, including Brookhaven Instruments; Universities Space Research Association (USRA), NASA; Eastman Kodak, Tennessee; Roche Diagnostic Systems; Bristol-Myers Squibb; DuPont; WL Gore; Dow Chemical; and Toyobo, Japan. He is a recipient of several awards and honors, including AP Sloan Research Fellow (1966-1968), JS Guggenheim Fellow (1968-1969); the Humboldt Award for Senior U.S. Scientists (1976-1977, 1992-1993), APS High Polymer Physics Prize; honorary professorship at the Chinese Academy of Sciences (1992); distinguished honor professor, Changchun Institute of Applied Chemistry (2006); Gutenberg Lecture Award from Johannes Gutenberg University, Germany; and honorary Doctor of Law degree from St. Norbert College (2007).
