"Majnoon Laila" is Qais bin Al -Mallouh, a poet from the Hawazin tribe, and he is considered one of the greatest poets who lived in the first century AH during the rule of the Umayyad state. Qais was distinguished by being full of love and spinning, and was known as "Majnoun Laila" due to his deep passion for Laila and his unlimited love for her. This love became a role model for the lovers, however, the family of Laila refused to marry her, so Qais resorted to poetry and movement between the country to express his love, until he died due to the sadness and pain that afflicted him. The prince of poets, Ahmed Shawky, addressed in his poetic play "Majnoun Laila" this tragic story in a distinctive and attractive style. In this artwork, Shawky drew a wonderful and emotional picture of this poet and his dramatic suffering. The text transmits us to its sensitive and influential world, and we feel sympathetic to his suffering and the harsh conditions that prevented his dream of marrying Laila.
