Autorenporträt
Dana K. Haffar was born and raised in Beirut. During the Lebanese War, she obtained a BA in English Literature from the American University of Beirut and an MLitt in English Literature from Oxford University, UK. Since, she has led a peripatetic existence. She has lived in Greece, Spain, different parts of England and South Africa. Out of a love for books and languages, she chose a career in writing and editing for various academic and commercial organisations. She has worked on coffee-table and travel books in English and French. She is co-editor of Lebanon: A History of Conflict and Consensus (IB Tauris, 1988). Her novels explore human behaviour under extraordinary circumstances and the struggle in surmounting them. She has written two novels besides LEAH. BEIRUT IN SHADES OF GREY (Ameera Publishing, 2007) and more recently THE MEMORY OF LOSS (Kindle Press, 2017). Short works have appeared in Woman&Home Magazine (SA) and Travelmag.
