After Ravi tells Sarah about a similar celebration in his homeland of Sri Lanka, their two cultures soon intertwine in a beautiful celebration of acceptance. Learning to Be Oneself shares two stories, told both in English and Spanish, that teach children a valuable lesson about self-reliance and celebrate cultural differences.

Autorenporträt

Mabel Moyano graduated at the Escuela de Bellas Artes, in Buenos Aires, Argentina, as an Art teacher. Later completed a Bachelor of Science in Education at the University of Miami, Florida. Years later studying at Florida International University, in Miami, received a Master of Science in Bilingualism. Daniella Barbery was born in Chile with very low vision. Despite her obstacles she studied at the Instituto Chileno Britanico de Cultura, where she graduated in English Pedagogy. Years later in Miami, graduated from Florida International University, with a Bachelor of Arts in English as a foreign language (ESOL) and Translator of Spanish and English. She also completed the Montessori Methodology Certification at the Alexander Montessori School. Today Daniella is a tutor of foreign students.
