Born in Clarendon, Jamaica, Danette Mahabeer, was raised in a single parent family with four siblings. She migrated to the United States at age 26. Having completed a Degree in Hospitality, Entertainment and Tourism Management, and having worked in the Tourism and Hospitality industry for over 10 years, she quickly developed strong passion and interest, and diverted into the Music Industry, for two years, as a Recording Artiste. She decided to write and publish her first book, to bring awareness to the topic, which has been rapidly escalating in our society today. Danette is a mother to one: a daughter. She is also a Motivational Speaker, Entrepreneur, Women's Advocate, Humanitarian, Author and Poet, and is presently pursuing a Law Degree. She is a born-again Christian, who was baptized into the Apostolic Church and strongly believes that all things are possible, through Jesus Christ, our Lord.
