We also meet the uni-limbed editor of a popular tabloid newspaper who also has a bomb-bedevilled and peculiar sexual habit and who bears a massive grudge against the British Army for the loss of his leg below the knee. The blasphemous humour is understated and subtle and the story builds towards a big finale that holds a surprise.
