Autorenporträt
Geboren in Bern. Sie studierte Psychologie an der Universität Zürich mit Abschluss Lizentiat. Danach bildete sie sich in freudscher Psychoanalyse am Freud Institut Zürich aus. Sie arbeitete viele Jahre als Psychotherapeutin für Gewaltopfer in eigener Praxis in Zürich und in der Entwicklungszusammenarbeit. Über dreißig Jahre führte sie Gespräche mit Überlebenden ¿ sowohl mit Opfern wie auch mit Tätern ¿ zuerst in der Schweiz, dann im Kosovo und in Ruanda, an den Schauplätzen von Kriegen und Massakern. In Fachjournalen publizierte sie zahlreiche Artikel, zum Beispiel zum Thema ¿Wie kann man in kriegsversehrten Gesellschaften wieder ein neues Leben finden und aufbauen?¿. Dann wandte sie sich dem Schreiben der eigenen Biografie zu.
