In step two, there are straightforward actions for you to take to implement an action plan in healing from this experience.
In step three, you will shift your focus to getting to know yourself, unpacking your underlying issues, and spending time thinking about your childhood.
In step four, you will create your standards, such as boundaries and red flags.
The second half of the workbook provides you with tools as you move forward with your life. You are given tips for breaking out of toxic relationship patterns, questions to ask yourself when you start dating again, and various resources that you may need in your healing journey.

Cordelia Kovalic, J.D., is an attorney licensed to practice law in Tennessee, Illinois, and the United States District Court Eastern District of Tennessee. She graduated magna cum laude from Loyola University Chicago with a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology and a minor in philosophy. In 2015, she went on to earn her Juris Doctor degree from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, where she was in the top 28% of her class. In her career, she has been a prosecutor, in-house counsel for a corporation, insurance defense attorney, and a postgraduate fellowship attorney for a nonprofit organization assisting domestic violence victims. By day, she still practices law. By night, she runs her Instagram titled @codependentrecovery, and she hosts a podcast called We Heal Together. She is an ally for people of all races, ethnicities, nationalities, classes, abilities, sizes, shapes, orientations, & placements along the gender spectrum. She is a survivor of abuse, and she has taken to the streets to help others heal. We Heal Together & @codependentrecovery are for people: (1) working on loving themselves, (2) navigating codependency, shame, and trauma, (3) surviving emotional abuse, physical abuse, NPD abuse, and sexual abuse. Both provide people tools, knowledge, resources, and recommendations for books and music. Most importantly, both provide safe spaces for people to heal together, and it highlights stories and commons struggles people are facing. She has two dogs named Watson & Huckleberry.
