Cary Washington is a native of Columbia, S.C. He began writing and reciting poetry in public forums at age nine, and was inducted into the International Library of Poetry, Owings Mills, Maryland at the age of sixteen. From there he moved on to writing stage plays, which he directed and performed at local churches and community centers in Columbia and surrounding cities. Soon after he began writing articles for local newspapers, eventually writing short stories and blogs, music, and literary novels.
