Autorenporträt

Growing up, I was always drawn to writing what I saw and felt. With my being from Detroit, Michigan, much of my writing had to do with the sadness and hope that I had for my beloved city. The older I got, the stronger my passion grew for writing, self-expression, and detailing my understanding of my culture. Upon graduating and receiving my bachelor's degree in communications from Oakland University, I knew that I had to do more in improving my culture. Through my children's book series "Liam the Lawyer," it is my sincerest hope that I will offer a positive image of what can be and what should be the atmosphere of my community. My lead character, Liam, is meant to offer hope, possibility, and inspiration. Aside from writing, I enjoy spending time with my three-year-old daughter, Jordan, who is a character in her own right. And I simply enjoy life and all that positivity that it brings!
