The purpose of this book - as stated by its author, Le Bon, is: "to research the sources of some of the great religious, philosophical, and moral beliefs that have guided people throughout history, and to research the transformations of these beliefs." Le Bon researches human facts and finds them evolving like all natural events. They are born, grow, and disappear, so he makes the title of his book "The Life of Facts." This book contains a comprehensive lesson on the foundations of beliefs, and the religious, emotional, mental, and collective elements they consist of. It also deals with the transformations that occurred in individual beliefs when they become collective. He did not neglect the study of ancient religions, and Le Bon devoted demands and chapters to Christianity. He investigated its appearance, its transformations, the aspects of its spread, and the atheisms, secessions, and various sects it was vulnerable to.
