The reason for this, from its historical aspect, is that what has become clear to us from the long comparison between religions is that the great prophecies were linked to the caravan cities. Because it is an intermediate environment between civilization and nomadism, and so were Ur, Baalbek, Jerusalem, Mecca, Yathrib, Midian, and the road sites in southern Palestine and northern Hijaz, and they are environments that do not relate to the civilization of cities, which relied in legislating rights on the state system, nor to nomadism of the desert, which relied in legislating rights on the year of revenge and conquest, but they - caravan cities - are a middle ground between the two sides.
