To my Heavenly Father, to my elder brother Jesus, and to my helper, Holy Spirit, for making my life significant and for giving me the privilege and joy of portraying the Father's Heart for this generation, thank you.

To my parents, Arnold and Audrey Kalamen, who gave me life, introduced me to the One who has become my Life, and who have continually upheld this work in intercession, thank you.

To my precious wife, Carleen, who has experienced with me the fire and the flood in my journey to know God and to make Him known, and who has been my greatest friend and encouragement for 31 years, thank you.

To my children, Brodie, Ryan and Kerri, who have always challenged me to search myself and my understanding of God so that my faith could be relevant to the children of generations, and who have themselves integrated these same principles into their lives, thank you.

To my pastoral and leadership teams, office staff, and congregation of Kelowna Christian Center, who have stayed faithful to the upward call and have been willing to risk misunderstanding so that the greater purposes of God could be established in them, thank you.

To Marion McKeown (Mimi McQ), for her own example of a passionate pursuit of purpose through very difficult times, for her writing and resource skills, for her heart to sacrificially undertake and guide this project to completion, and for her friendship and perseverance in assisting me to place this life message in written script, thank you.

Autorenporträt

David Kalamen is founder and now, consultant to the Board of Kelowna Christian Center Society. Married to Carleen for 52 years, have been ministering to the people of this region through Kelowna Christian Center for 40 years.

David is a pastor's son, born in Campbellton, New Brunswick, and raised in the diverse culture of four of Canada's great provinces New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Quebec, and now, British Columbia. He has been blessed to see three generations of ministers flowing together, serving alongside both his father (Arnold Kalamen) and his son, Brodie who is KCC's senior pastor now. Cumulatively, three generations of Kalamens have invested over 100 years of pastoral/apostolic ministry into the city of Kelowna and the BC region (his apostolic call 1992, Rom 1:5-6).

David and his family are passionate to see people become all that God has called them to be and to help them discover and fulfill the purpose for which they were created. He has authored a book, Life Purpose that has been released broadly throughout Canada and has been printed internationally.

David has served as President of the Ministerial, hosted numerous City Transformation conferences, and developed the Houses of Mercy program to help build an intelligent and compassionate community.

David has been called upon to speak at national and international conferences that have dealt with a wide range of leadership issues touching Christianity, like church governance, spiritual fathering, social justice, city transformation, mercy mission and marketplace ministry. That call has taken him to over 35 nations.

He was a founding Director of Open Bible Faith Fellowship churches and is a founding member of the Board of Governors for Vietnam's Master's Theological Institute.

David is serving Kenn Gill and Dennis Peacock with The Statesmen Project, training citizens for kingdom impact on the Seven Mountains of Culture. He was a founding member of the National Association of Apostolic Leadership, the Canadian Coalition of Apostolic Leaders and continues to serve under the leadership of Phil Nordin.

He is working with national leaders on a formative idea, the 3P Project, a Christian worldview initiative to train the church of Canada. If the Church is not discipled with a strong Biblical worldview, how can it disciple the nation?
