Vallabh H. Dhudshia, Ph.D., CQE, PE Fellow - American Society for Quality Dr. Vallabh H Dhudshia was born and raised in a small farming village in India. He lived a very basic, simple, and primitive life while he was growing up. His father had an elementary school education and his mother had none. He got his pre-college and undergraduate engineering education in India. After coming to America, he got MS ME from the Illinois Institute of Technology and a Ph.D. in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from New York University. He spent his entire career in the quality and reliability (Q&R) fields at Xerox Corp., SEMATECH, and Texas Instruments Inc. He is the author of Hi-Tech Equipment Reliability, a textbook widely used in the semiconductor industry, and a contributor to The Handbook of Semiconductor Manufacturing Technology, authoring the equipment reliability section. He is a worldwide recognized equipment reliability expert, author, and trainer in the semiconductor manufacturing equipment industry. After retiring from Texas Instruments, Inc., he traveled a lot and continue volunteering for the local communities. In his spare time, he loves to read and write.
