Autorenporträt
Lillian Whitlow was born in Shreveport, Louisiana, but was reared and educated in Oklahoma. She has resided in Portland, Oregon, since 1970. As a retired school teacher, she has been able to pursue a writing career. She is widowed and the mother of three adult children: two sons, Leo and Leon, and a daughter, Leona. Her first children's book, Manny, was published in 2003 by PublishAmerica. Prior to this publication, she has had several poems and newspaper articles published. Her other two books, Brick City and A Soldier without a Country, were also published by PublishAmerica. Lillian received her bachelor's degree from Langston University in performing arts and a master's degree from Oklahoma University in elementary education. In addition to writing, Lillian is an accomplished classical pianist.
