Life shouldn't be this hard. Death shouldn't be so cruel! Light always finds a way. Look behind the windows of her eyes, and you will see a lifetime of captured memories. Memories of love, loss, pain, and joy. As a child in the deep south, toiling through her father's cotton fields, she lived with hopes that a bountiful harvest was always on the horizon. Her journey north offered promise for her child and a future for her family. Yet, through all the tears, heartbreak, betrayal, and strife, the light of love still found its way out of the blue darkness. This is the life story of Rose.

Autorenporträt
Amy (Perrin) Brown was born and raised in Cleveland Ohio. She married Frederick Brown on February 21, 1963. It wasn't long before Fred took Amy to visit his aunt in Detroit. During those visits, "Auntie" began telling her stories, and Amy began listening. Amy has two adult children, Frederick "Ricky" Brown, Jr., currently in Dallas, Texas, and Terri Ford, who resides in Euclid, Ohio with her son, and Amy's grandson, Ray Patrick Ford III. Amy is also a sister, aunt, and great aunt to dozens of nieces and nephews, and friend to countless others in her church and community. Anyone who knows Amy well is used to hearing her ask, "How can I help?" Amy currently resides in Mayfield Heights, Ohio, which keeps her close to her daughter and grandson. She's also been known to hop in the car or on a plane to visit her son and granddog in Dallas. When she's home, her favorite pastime is quilting or playing a game of Words With Friends. This is Amy's second book. In 2004, she wrote Laughter Over the Hill - Nursing Humor, Smiles, Hints, and Hugs after spending many days in the nursing home as a volunteer.
