The story begins in the summer of 2013 around the sleepy

Norfolk seaside and is narrated from the year 2021 when

things are very different for women's football. Lily's journey

encapsulates the struggles a young female has breaking into

the world of football ... can she achieve her goal of fulfilling

her talent and becoming a star?

*Andy Elleray was born and grew up in London. He moved to the

rural town of Worcester to attend university and hasn't looked

back since. Growing up, Andy was fascinated with football.

Knowing he wanted to do more than play, he studied sports

coaching and has since worked with some of the best male and

female teams in the UK, as well as international teams. Andy is

a best-selling author and has produced nine non-fiction books

on the subject of football coaching and youth development

through the publishing company Bennion Kearny. Having

worked with young footballers for well over a decade, his first

fiction book combines the excitement and real-life issues faced

in the game.

Autorenporträt

Andy Elleray is a goalkeeping coach who also specializes in performance analysis and sports science. His former clubs include Cheltenham Town, Liverpool and Chelsea, working at different levels, and in a variety of roles. He is currently responsible for the goalkeeping development at Birmingham City Ladies Football Club where he works at all levels of the club with youth international goalkeepers in the female game. He is also involved in different regional and youth international coaching environments. Holding UEFA qualifications, Youth Awards, and a Master's degree, Andy blends different approaches into his current coaching projects.
